I have to say I am dissappointed in the election results. I voted for Rick Santorum, who has been unwavering in his views and stands. I disagree with him on many issues, but he is pro-america.
I feel that democrats don't love america. And yes I feel like they are un-patriotic.
I said it, and i believe it's true.
America is a force for good. We need to use that power, we cannot go back to the clinton years.
Anyway, before I went off on my tangent I had a point. My point is that this election was not lost because of the war!!
The war was part of it, but if you look at the results they are damn close. Democrats won with conservative democrats, not the radical left wing. Look at Ned Lamont.
The Republicans lost because they screwed the conservatives and the libertarians. They've screwed us and we didn't show up ( I did, but I am talking in the royal we). We are getting screwed on social security reform, immigration, budget reform, tax reform and smaller government.
I went all out in 2004, I went I called, I begged people to vote. I did this in the hopes that I could control my own social security money.
I didn't get that or anything else that had me excited!
I have felt betrayed by the GOP. So a much as I am dissapointed, I hope they have learned a lesson and will decide to be true to a large core of the republican party.
In the meantime, I hope Nancy Pelosi doesn't screw us to much.
I'll be back in 2008. The GOP better have something to show me that I will be appreciated this time, or maybe I will stay home.
