Some interesting articles

First from Salim Mansur on Vietnam. It seems to be a very interesting opinion that I have personally never seen before. He opines that the US sacrifice in Vietnam, purchased time for the rest of Southeast Asia to mature and grow stronger and resilient to the evil of communism. Please go read the rest. I recommend all of his writings.

Second article of the day was found via Real Clear Politics. In The Australian, Janet Albrechtsen discusses anti-Americanism and it's roots. I am sure we can all learn some lessons from these articles.

Run Hillary Run!!

I was having a text conversation with a friend of mine and we were speaking of another friend who used to be a conservative, but is suffering through a time of darkness and dissillusion.

I told him that I have faith in Hillary.

This was actually the conversation

Me-"did you see cy tolliver (powers boothe) on 24?"

J-"ya ya, I miss it, you watch deadwood N******?"

(he mistook me for someone else)

Me-"Wrong guy this is Rich"

J-"Sorry im toast but I knew it as one of u red-staters!"

Me-"its ok but N****** is not one of my fellow radicals anymore"

J-"say it ain;t so big red!"

Me-"He is a changed man, he has lost his way both politically and religiously, he is now center left and an atheist"

J-"I just called 2 congratulate him"

Me-"It's a terrible tragedy, but i have faith that hill will come through for me."

Me-"She will push the weak of heart back into the fold, she will be the forge that tempers the metal of the conservative movement into the blade that will smite the evil leftwing agenda."

From Real Clear Politics

This article caught my eye. Which is a hero?

My first reaction was all soldiers are heroes, but after reading the article I have reevaluated my position. I personnally feel he is a traitor for taking an oath and breaking it. "only to those who believe there is power and honor in breaking the rules as one sees fit."

As one sees fit? That isn't part of the oath. I think that Robert Jamieson the author of this dribble intended to make me feel sorry for the traitor. He did the opposite, I honor all soldiers who do their duty, not ones who shirk it.

Global Warming a farce?

I have long been a skeptic about global warming. This Skepticism stems to before I was into politics, way back in the mid 90's when I was in high school. I was big into history and in the course of reading various heating texts I learned that temperatures varied often. Here is and article via Drudge about this very phenomenon. Please go read it.

RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!

I have long been a supporter of Rudy for President. I know a lot of people, including Dick Morris believe Rudy's chances are slim to none because of various social stances. However, I think Dick and any other nayssayers will be again surprised by the intelligence of conservatives.

They may not support Rudy on social issues, but they also realize that terrorism trumps social issues, and the man to attack the vast terrorist conspiracy is the same man who brought down another violent cult, the mob.
